Pusat Bahasa UGM: A Robust Foundation For High-Quality Education And Global Cooperation
The present Pusat Pelatihan Bahasa or Language Training Centre dates back to 1971 when Rector Soeroso H. Prawirohardjo (1968-1973) launched a new project in recognition of the importance of foreign languages in the work and career aspirations of academic and professional Indonesians. The project was set up under the auspices of the Indonesian Ministry of Education in cooperation with the British Ministry of Overseas Development working through the British Council, Jakarta.
